Leon Fortin, Jr. focuses on patent strategy and technology transaction due diligence. Prior to GTC, Leon directed award-winning international engineering teams providing predictable delivery of high-quality commercial and industrial products at Cognex Corporation. Leon was the first Hardware Engineer at Cognex, initially creating a family of industry leading machine vision products, and grew the department to over 20 engineers and staff. While at Cognex, Leon started an invention disclosure and patenting program. Leon has expertise in a broad range of high technology business needs, including hardware technology, design methodology, multi-national operations strategy, international customer management, market evaluation, and IP development and protection. In addition, Leon has provided consulting services to technology start-ups by planning and implementing crucial product development infrastructure. Leon holds a B.S. in Computer Engineering from Boston University and is a Registered U.S. Patent Agent.
