Adam Brooke is a member of GTC’s patent and M&A groups.  As a seasoned patent attorney with over a decade of experience, Adam assists clients in building quality patent portfolios attuned to their business goals.  He has extensive experience in all aspects of portfolio management, from preparation and worldwide prosecution to post-grant proceedings such as inter partes reviews, reexaminations, and reissues.  Adam regularly provides diligence reviews for business transactions, and opines on infringement, validity, and freedom-to-operate.

Adam is deeply familiar with a multitude of technologies, both as an electrical engineer and as a patent attorney, and has particular insight into electrical and computer inventions.  Prior to joining GTC, Adam practiced for nearly a decade at Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, where he both procured and litigated patents, and previously, he practiced at Oliff & Berridge PLC.  Before pursuing law, Adam gained valuable industry and technical experience at an engineering consulting firm in Maryland, where he designed circuitry, FPGAs, and software components of various products including an automatic meter reader.

Adam holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Grove City College and a J.D. from Washington University in St. Louis School of Law.  He is licensed to practice in Virginia, the District of Columbia, and before the USPTO.
