GTC Law Group is thrilled to announce that Richard “Rick” Schaul-Yoder has joined the firm as Consultant Tax Counsel. Rick is a US tax attorney and an internationally recognized expert in the tax-efficient structuring of domestic and cross-border M&A transactions, strategic investments and joint ventures, including the use of IP holding companies. He works closely with onshore and offshore investment funds and their managers, as well as tax advisors worldwide, to structure creative tax solutions for U.S. taxable, tax-exempt, and foreign investors. He has deep experience in IRS qualification and management of nonprofit corporations.

Prior to joining GTC, Rick was a long-time partner, and former Chair of the Tax Department, of an AmLaw 200 firm. Since 1990, Rick has served as a member of the international tax committee of the American Bar Association’s Tax Section where he has been Chairman on various subcommittees.

Rick brings a foundational element to GTC’s active M&A, Venture Capital, Private Equity, Emerging Companies and General Corporate groups. Rick holds a B.M.E. from Indiana University and a J.D. from Boston College Law School.
