As a member of GTC’s Open Source Compliance and Due Diligence and Mergers & Acquisitions groups, Leon focuses on providing practical, real-word compliance and strategy advice covering consumption and creation of both open source and commercial software. He has represented buyers and sellers in complicated transactions, including performing open source and commercial software diligence. Additionally, as a member of GTC’s Data Privacy & Cybersecurity and IP Strategy & Prosecution groups, Leon helps advise clients on their privacy and trademark-related matters. Prior to joining GTC, he held internships at the U.S. Attorney’s Office and for the Hon. Bruce M. Selya of the First Circuit Court of Appeals. Leon has extensive experience in software design and development, ranging from web applications to hospital patient data management systems and medical device software for Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics. He holds a B.S. in Computer Science from Rochester Institute of Technology and a J.D. from Northeastern University School of Law. Leon is fluent in Russian.
