Erica is Counsel at GTC. She is an experienced patent attorney specializing in intellectual property patent protection in the fields of molecular biology and biochemistry, with a focus in immunotherapy, plants, viral delivery vectors, adenoviruses, antibodies, drug targeting moieties, and protein purification methods. Erica has extensive experience in patent preparation and prosecution, patent portfolio strategy, licensing, freedom-to-operate analyses, and IP due diligence.
Prior to joining GTC, Erica was an Associate at Day Pitney LLP. Her industry experience includes holding Director of Technology Transfer positions at the Boyce Thompson Institute and the Donald Danforth Plant Science Center. Erica has a B.A. in Biology from the University of Kansas, a Ph.D. in Molecular Plant Biology from the Division of Biology and Biomedical Sciences at Washington University in St. Louis, and a J.D. from Seton Hall University.
