Twenty-eight years of deal-making. Lisa Trainor has spent her career doing deals that catapult growth and innovation and extract captive fortunes. Her practice sits at the intersection of intellectual property, M&A, and complex transactions. Lisa is the lawyer serial acquirers call before their next acquisition and the one serial entrepreneurs call before their first—guiding founders from formation all the way through the monetization event that makes it all worthwhile. Along the way, she’s quarterbacked dozens of acquisitions and steered countless companies through the transactions that define them.
What sets Lisa apart isn’t deal value—it’s foresight. She’s often regarded as her clients’ “first call lawyer,” working alongside her clients across every stage of growth, spotting the legal and operational risks that can quietly derail a capital raise or sink a combination before it’s built. When a deal hits a wall, she’ll find solutions to get it moving again; crisis management isn’t a footnote on her resume, it’s a specialty.
Outside the deal room, Lisa goes all in too. She’s raising four kids, is an avid CrossFitter, brave beekeeper, home herbalist and gardener—stopping to smell the roses isn’t a tagline for her, it’s a habit.
