GTC held “A Toolkit for Data Privacy & Security” Conference on September 29th at the Downtown Harvard Club. Practical steps were provided to enhance organization’s data privacy and security compliance program, with guidance from well-respected experts in the field. Attendees were introduced to experienced consultants and vendors who can assist in these areas.
You have likely been inundated with alerts about the new EU-US Privacy Shield and its availability as of August 1, 2016. Companies certifying compliance with the Privacy Shield can benefit in bringing EU-origin information into the US, but will increase their risk of enforcement actions if their US-centric policies do not meet EU standards. GTC’s noted privacy expert David Bender, whose summary of the privacy shield is available here, explored the pros and cons in more detail at the Conference.
Our agenda is included below. If you have any questions about the Conference, please contact Sayoko Blodgett-Ford at GTC ([email protected]).
